*Scheduling
- In order to help ensure that you obtain your desired appointment, we recommend scheduling your appointment in advance to ensure availability.
- All services require prepayment to guarantee a reservation; so please have your credit card and/or gift certificate ready when scheduling.
- Client's photo ID that matches the name on a credit card will be required at check-in to reduce fraud. If the names don't match, We may not allow the transaction to be completed.
*Arrival
- Please arrive 5 - 10 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time to fill out the appropriate client forms (new clients), change, use the restroom, and prepare for the service.
- New Clients require Identification upon arrival; a copy will be made for your file.
- All treatment sessions have a specific timed schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience.
*Cancellation Policy and Fees
- Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
- Any cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancellation fee of half the price.
- If you schedule and have prepaid same-day-made appointments or day-prior-made appointments, but cannot make the appointment, you are subject to half the service price.
- All appointments made online by client(s) less than 24-hours prior to the appointment(s) are non-refundable.
- Clients who miss their appointments without giving prior notification and/or no show past 15 minutes of the original start time, will be charged in full.
- If Clients wish to cease their appointment within 15 minutes of receiving treatment, they are subject a refund of up to 30% at the discretion of manager approval.
- RAK'SA has no refund policy on services completed. Dissatisfied clients must make RAK'SA aware in writing within 24 hours of the completion of service. We may provide complimentary discounted service within 7 days of the service completion date with different therapist(s) pending manager approval.
- Gift certificates, massage session packages, and monthly membership charges are not redeemable for cash and are non-refundable. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.
◆ We recognize the time of our clients and staff is valuable, so we have implemented this policy for that reason. When you miss an appointment with us, our therapists not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled for the same time.
*Late Arrival
- If late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened in order to keep on schedule and the treatment will be charged at the original price.
- All treatment sessions have a specific timed schedule, therefore, we regret that late arrivals may not receive extension of scheduled appointments.
- If the schedule allows, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. The original reservation fee will be charged.
*No Show
- At RAK'SA Thai Herbal Spa we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events such as car problems, business meetings and children’s illnesses, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a massage appointment. However, we ask that you call if you cannot keep your appointment.
- Clients who miss their appointments without giving prior notification and/or no show past 15 minutes of the original start time, will be charged in full.
*Informed Consent
- Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you.
- At your first visit with us you will be asked to sign the treatment consent form stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage, cupping, energy therapy, and skincare treatment policies and procedures.
- Clients who we have not seen for at least a year may also be asked to fill out this form.
*Scope of Practice
- RAK'SA Thai Herbal Spa therapists are North Carolina licensed professionals and held to the highest standards of the American Massage Therapy Association.
- Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.
- Licensed Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. Our therapist may refer you to a medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment. Our services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific condition which requires medical treatment.
*Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries
- Therapists reserve the right to end sessions at anytime if made to feel uncomfortable in any way by a client’s inappropriate manner. In these cases, refunds will not be provided.
- Requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated, will be viewed as solicitation, and reported to the proper authorities under the guidelines of the massage therapy policies and procedures. The session will end immediately and client will not rescheduled if this occurs.
- The breast and genital area will not be massaged under any circumstances. Permission will be asked before working close to these areas; otherwise, a professional distances will be maintained. Also, Gluteal and Abdomen area will be massaged only with permission and can be worked through the draping if requested.
- Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate. On rare occasions an involuntary sensual response to massage is natural and will be subside on its own in a few moments.
- Parental consent and therapist approval for recipients under the age of 18.
*Confidentiality and Conversation
- We treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. As such, we will not discuss your visit with anybody outside of our staff without your express permission.
- We strive to provide the highest and best results to our clients. Therefore, our therapists prefer not to have conversation that is too personal, except as it relates to the client’s treatment/medical concerns.
*Existing and New Medical Conditions
- *Please notify the receptionist of any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients when you schedule your appointment.
- It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued.
- The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.
- For clients undergoing chemo and radiation therapies – *Please note that we require a doctor’s note that states the doctor is aware of and agrees to the desired treatment.

Gift certificates are available in any amount by online booking, telephone, e-mail or in person.
- Gift Certificate emails may not express the expiration.
- Gift Certificates must be redeemed within 3 months of purchase date.
*Refund
- All refunds must be requested and completed within 180 days of the original transaction.
